Adarius B. Scott

Adarius Briean Scott was born on May 16, 1991, to Zelphyr Scott and Willie James Scott. He attended Canby Lane Elementary School and Bethune Middle School, where he developed a keen interest in various sports, including soccer, basketball, and track. Notably, he was a member of a traveling soccer team. In 2009, Adarius graduated from Southwest Dekalb High School, ranking in the top 5% of his class. He began his higher education at Valdosta State University before transferring to Southern Polytechnic State University, where he graduated Magna cum laude earning a Bachelor’s degree in Apparel and Textiles with a concentration in Fashion Design and Product Development. On December 4, 2014, he became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha. Adarius dedicated ten years of his career to Verizon, where he received numerous accolades for his performance. He married his high school sweetheart on October 2, 2022. Recently, he embarked on a new professional journey as an Underwriter Assistant with State Farm. Adarius was a kind and loving son, husband, father, and friend, whose smile had the power to brighten any room. He profoundly impacted the lives of those around him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Erica Scott; three children, Elijah Scott, Aden Scott and Audom Scott; his parents, Zelphyr Scott and Willie James Scott; his paternal grandmother, Rena Mae Scott; his sister, Morgyn Scott; and his lifelong friend, Kevin Miller and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Felton Jenkins SR(Celestine), his grandfather James Scott, his uncle, Mr. Felton Jenkins, JR and his best friend, Marquis Adjei.
