Luciano Sansalone

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Luciano Sansalone, owner of Louie's Sand & Gravel, of Stonecrest, GA, on September 27, 2025.

It’s not easy to write these words, but it’s important to honor the man who was by my side for more than a decade.

Many of you may have known the businessman, the man who built everything with his own hands and who lived in Lithonia, Atlanta, for more than 50 years, calling it his true home. Talking with him meant discovering a man with clear goals, who worked from sunrise to sunset to reach them.

And even though not every business turned out the way he hoped, he never gave up.

I’m talking about a life partner who always had my back. Together with Michel, Toito, and José, we built a family—and he was the pillar that held us up.

Luciano didn’t work out of obligation. He worked because he loved what he did. He was an honest man. I believe his stubbornness helped him rise and shape who he was. Those who knew him understand what I mean. Yes, he was stubborn, but that same stubbornness led him to build everything he achieved, and that became an example for those of us who shared life with him.

He always did everything for the family we created. The love he gave, the stories he told about Italy, his kindness and his integrity remain with us. For him, there was only one way to do things—his way—but always with a good and generous heart. He welcomed everyone with kindness and love.

Over these years, my family made him part of their hearts. And I can proudly say he had a family that truly appreciated him, loved him, and today feels deeply the pain of his loss.

Today we say goodbye to Luciano. I can’t deny the sadness of having spent so many years, day after day, just him and me. What I have now is the memory of him as an unforgettable example, and as the man who shared his love with me. Until we meet again, my love.
