In Loving Memory of Stanley T. Bracy
September 30, 1963 – June 15, 2025
Stanley T. Bracy, affectionately known as “Babe,” “Big Man,” “Dad,” “Pop,” “Stan,” “Brother-in-law,” “Stan the Man,” “USB,” and “Grandpa Stan,” was born on September 30, 1963, in Monroe, Louisiana, to the late Thomas Bracy and Ida Mae Bracy.
A proud resident of Mableton, Georgia for the past nine years, Stanley entered eternal rest on June 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Bracy.
Stanley was a faithful member of New Life Church in Decatur and a devoted online attendee of both Word of Faith Worship Cathedral and Everlasting Love Ministries. A true servant of the Lord, Stanley not only spoke the Word of God but lived it. He often shared his testimony and joyfully spread God’s message wherever he went.
He graduated from Wossman High School and later earned an associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. Stanley proudly served in the United States Army and went on to build a career in manufacturing and warehousing. He worked as a forklift operator, inspector, and technician—most recently at Duracell in Fairburn, Georgia, where he proudly declared it to be “The Best Company Ever!”
Stanley leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories with his loving wife and heaven-sent angel, Sheila Ware Bracy. He is also survived by his children: Lydia (David) Bracy Saur of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Lakeshia Johnson of Montgomery, Alabama; and Darrian Ware, Trae Ware, and Candace Ware of Mableton, Georgia.
He is also survived by ten siblings: Dorothy Donaldson, Vivian Elzie, Leon Elzie, and Marjorie Gaines of Monroe, Louisiana; John (Yvonne) Elzie of Portland, Oregon; Helen (William) Morrison of Menifee, California; Carl Gaines of Sbern, Maryland; Thomas R. Bracy of New Orleans, Louisiana; Ruthie Bracy; and James (Earnestine) Bracy of Kansas City, Missouri.
Stanley was a proud and loving grandfather to his three grandsons—his “three sons”—who affectionately called him Grandpa Stan: Carson Johnson and Greyson Webster of Montgomery, Alabama (lovingly known as his “USBs” – Uncle Stanley Boys), and Bryson Saur of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (fondly known as his “little Grizzly”).
He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and countless friends who were touched by his kind heart and joyful spirit.
Precious, loving, and funny memories will forever linger in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
